Seaboard Marine wishes to advise our valued customers of changes** regarding the equipment free time charges in Central America effective March 22, 2020.
This charge, applicable to all tariff and service contracts when a Seaboard Marine container is detained beyond the allotted free time in Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala. Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama, is as follows:
The initial daily charge for the container or specialized equipment will be increasing to:
Equipment Per Diem (US$) without chassis or generator set (gen-set)
Dry Equipment – $110.00 Per Day or Fraction Thereof
Refrigerated Container – $250.00 Per Day or Fraction Thereof
Special Equipment – $250.00 Per Day or Fraction Thereof
**Equipment use charges are based on the combination of the container or specialized equipment, chassis and generator set (gen-set). These charges escalate depending on how long the equipment is detained. Below is a chart showing how the combination of equipment charges are based:
