As COVID-19 spreads to new countries and within the United States, we are aware this may impact how you do business and interact with us.
Many organizations are implementing various policies and restrictions on travel to prepare for possible impacts. We are as well. Seaboard Marine is no stranger to business continuity, and similar to weather-related threats that can, from time-to-time, affect our ability to provide excellent service, we are always prepared in advance.
At this time, all of our current office and cargo facilities, both in the United States and overseas, are open and operating. Regional business continuity plans are fully in place. Our vessel and trucking operations are functioning normally.
We have actively engaged all business continuity leaders to review and comprehensively update policies and related actions. Our updated plans, which, as needed, include employees working remotely and at alternate locations, are aimed at ensuring our vessel and trucking operations continue to perform at its current high level and are ready to meet your transportation needs as the coronavirus situation unfolds. Seaboard Marine continues to follow regulations and guidance from international, federal, and local officials, including the World Health Organization, the Center for Disease Control, the United States Coast Guard, and Customs and Border Protection.
