Seaboard Marine wishes to advise our valued customers that we are actively monitoring Hurricane Delta. The storm has begun to affect our operations and will likely continue to do so throughout this week.

Delta has strengthened to a category four hurricane in the western Caribbean Sea. Delta will likely strike the northern US Gulf coast later this week, according to the National Hurricane Center.

The M/V Seaboard Atlantic Voyage 388 arrived at Puerto Cortes, Honduras, on Sunday, October 4, as scheduled. The port reopened yesterday evening, and cargo operations were completed. However, the port is currently closed again to incoming and outgoing vessel traffic due to inclement weather conditions. Further delays on the northbound route to Miami are to be expected.

The M/V Patriot Voyage 250 southbound, which departed from Miami, is keeping a safe distance from Delta until it is safe to resume the voyage.

The M/V Nordbaltic Voyage 37 southbound, which departed New Orleans, is also keeping a safe distance from Hurricane until it is safe to resume the voyage.

The M/V AS Petra Voyage 19 northbound and Voyage 20 southbound, scheduled to arrive in New Orleans on Sunday, October 11, has been canceled due to inclement weather.

Although there is flooding in parts of Jamaica due to rain from Delta, our offices and facilities are currently open this afternoon.

The safety of our staff, crews, vessels, and our customer’s cargo is of the utmost importance.

We appreciate the patience and support of our customers during the 2020 Hurricane Season
