Seaboard Marine wishes to advise our valued customers we are tracking Tropical Storm Zeta as it approaches the Yucatan coast in eastern Mexico.
The National Hurricane Center will likely post watches and/or warnings for parts of Louisiana and Mississippi, including New Orleans, later today as Zeta is forecasted to be near hurricane strength when it approaches the northern Gulf Coast on Wednesday evening, October 28.
The M/V Seaboard Atlantic Voyage 391 is currently sailing northbound from Central America to Miami. Keeping a safe distance from Zeta, the vessel’s arrival may be delayed in Miami (arrival on Wednesday later afternoon is now expected).
The M/V Seaboard Patriot Voyage 253 is currently sailing southbound to Central America but will likely be delayed, depending upon the trajectory of Zeta, as this ship is also keeping a safe distance from the storm.
As Zeta’s path continues to develop, we will continue to monitor and provide updates as developments occur.
The safety of our staff, crews, vessels, and our customer’s cargo is of the utmost importance.
We appreciate the patience and support of our customers during this active 2020 Hurricane Season.
