Seaboard Marine wishes to advise our valued customers of Tropical Depression Eta’s impact as we continue to track the storm.

The storm is expected to head into the Caribbean today and move northeast towards South Florida. The Cayman Islands currently are under a Tropical Storm Watch.

PortMiami is now under U.S. Coast Guard imposed readiness condition X-Ray, indicating that all terminal operators should prepare for potential tropical storm conditions within 48 hours. Our PortMiami facility is operating normally.

Eta is still causing heavy rainfalls and flooding over Central America. Our offices in Nicaragua, Honduras, and Guatemala are open today. Puerto Cortes, Honduras, and Santo Tomas, Guatemala, are open today for vessel and terminal operations. Trucking operations in Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Guatemala are suspended until road and weather conditions improve. Expect delays throughout the weekend due to the persistent rain and flooding of roadways throughout the region.

The M/V Patriot Voyage 254 completed cargo operations in Puerto Cortes last night.

As Eta’s path continues to develop, we will continue to monitor and provide updates on operations and the vessel’s status as developments occur. The safety of our staff, crews, vessels, and our customer’s cargo is of the utmost importance.

We appreciate the patience and support of our customers during this active 2020 Hurricane Season.
