Seaboard Marine wishes to advise our valued customers of Tropical Storm Eta’s impact as we continue to track the storm.
The storm is expected to move along the Caribbean today and move northeast towards South Florida. The Cayman Islands currently are under a Tropical Storm Watch.
PortMiami is now under U.S. Coast Guard imposed readiness condition Yankee and is anticipated to escalate to condition Zulu tomorrow which will effectively close the facility. Our port facility will reopen for terminal operations following U.S. Coast Guard safety inspections and the lifting of condition Zulu.
Expect delays throughout next week in Central America in the aftermath of Hurricane Eta. Trucking operations in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua are suspended until road and weather conditions improve following widespread flooding.
Vessel operations for the M/V Patriot Voyage 254, M/V A/S Samanta Voyage 24, and M/V A.S Sabrina Voyage 20 have been suspended until the storm has passed and operations can safely resume.
As Eta’s path continues to develop, we will continue to monitor and provide updates on operations and the vessel’s status as developments occur.
The safety of our staff, crews, vessels, and our customer’s cargo is of the utmost importance.
We appreciate the patience and support of our customers during this active 2020 Hurricane Season.
