Seaboard Marine wishes to advise its valued customers of conditions affecting the delivery of cargo loaded aboard the M/V Caribe Mariner Voyage 638, originally scheduled to be discharged at the Port of Belize on January 23rd, 2022. The cargo operations at Port of Belize are currently affected by a worker strike that started on January 21st, 2022 and has prevented vessel access to the port for cargo operations. Due to the conditions affecting performance and for the benefit and protection of cargo loaded aboard, the M/V Caribe Mariner has been diverted to the Port of Big Creek, Belize and all cargo destined to the Port of Belize will be discharged at the Port of Big Creek, Belize. It is currently unknown when the Port of Belize will resume normal operations.
The vessel is expected to arrive at the Port of Big Creek, Belize on January 25th, 2022. Due to the strike, Customs in Belize will accept all bills of lading governing affected shipments. Cargo interests will be required to make arrangements to collect cargo at Port of Big Creek, Belize.
