Gulf Terminal Receiving

A Gulf terminal receiving charge will apply on all cargoes moving via the Port of Houston as follows:

Charges apply on all shipments moving southbound (exports from the U.S.) and northbound (imports to the U.S.)

Special Handling Charge for Coated Pipe Sb/Nb

A special handling charge for coated pipe will apply moving out of the Gulf Ports.

The increase, applicable to all tariff and service contracts, is as follows:

All hand-loaded transfers are by scheduled appointment only. Cancellation of the scheduled appointment must be made at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time; otherwise, charges will apply.

  1. Exceptions:
  2. Paper in rolls loaded at Houston Jacintoport terminal – a charge of $327.30 per container will apply; receiving of paper in rolls at Jacintoport Intl terminal: $7.18 per 2000 lbs. (min. $117.71 per dock receipt)
  3. Open Top Houston – $851.81 (Per Container) Rate Includes Crane Charge.

Protective Covering

Exception for Houston Jacintoport Terminal, the charge shall be:

Disposable tarp – flat rack and break bulk 20′ x 20′ or 20′ x 40′ standard size tarp: $ 200.00

Disposable tarp – flat rack and break bulk 30′ x 50′ or 40′ x 60′ Large size tarp: $ 305.00

Installation performed by the carrier or its agent: $190.00 per tarp

Blocking and Bracing

** HOUSTON PORTION ONLY**

Exception a: blocking and bracing performed at Houston Jacintoport Terminal shall be $225.00 per equipment.

Limited Quantity Verification (LQV) Inspection

** HOUSTON PORTION ONLY**

Limited quantity verification (LQV) inspection – when the Carrier is required to place a container alongside the vessel for an LQV or made available for a VACIS inspection, the following fee shall apply:

  1. Houston, Tx – Jacintoport Intl. Terminal
  2. Door Inspection – per Container: $96.02
  3. LQV or VACIS Inspection – per Container: $201.34
  4. USDA – AQI Inspection -per Container: $784.70

3A. USDA – AQI Intensive Inspection – per Container: $1,151.24

  1. Labor for Inspections- additional Labor if needed: $75.00 per Hour

Gulf Wharfage

The charges listed below shall be for the account of the cargo which means that said charges shall be paid by the shipper or the consignee or their agent or by the notify party.

A Gulf Wharfage/Cargo Service Charge (as per Port Of Houston Authority Tariff No. 14) will be assessed on all cargo moving via carrier’s off-dock container yard (Cy) or container freight station (Cfs) or loaded/discharged to/from vessels which make a direct port call at the ports specified below.

Houston (Breakbulk/Fcl/Lcl): $4.92 Per 2000 Lbs. Minimum $15.00

Houston (Self Propelled Units/Vehicles/Machinery): $9.56 Per 2000 Lbs. Minimum $15.00

Houston (Truck/Trailers Combinations, Trailers): $9.56 Per 2000 Lbs. Minimum $15.00

Minimum Charge Per Bill Of Lading: $15.00

Exception: Steel /Iron N.O.S

Houston (Break Bulk): $4.78 Per 2000Lbs. Minimum $15.00

News Print / Kraft Paper: 3.92 Per 2000Lbs

Cotton: $0.92 Per Bale

Exception: This Charge Does Not Apply On Cargoes Originating In Belize.
