Seaboard Marine wishes to advise our valued customers of a Food Grade Container Charge effective April 3, 2022.
When the Shipper requires the Carrier to provide a food grade dry container (premium quality container), a charge of $350 per container will be applied for the preparation and additional cleaning required to meet the Carriers’ standards for food grade units. This charge, only applicable to the United States and Canadian exports (southbound) shipments, shall be applied when the Shipper requires a food grade dry container for the requested shipment. Food grade containers may be used for various commodities and are not specific to the transportation of food products.
The charge does not apply to operating refrigerated containers.
As always, we thank you for your continued support.
Please note that all changes that do require a legal 30-day notice are correctly filed and announced in the respective Public Tariff. This advisory shows some of these changes as a courtesy to our valued customers. This published notice in no way replaces the application of the Public Tariff.
