Seaboard Marine wishes to advise our valued customers, as previously released on November 19, 2021; Seaboard Marine is providing a preliminary list of associated cities within Central America that will be affected by the Foreign Inland Trucking Cost Adjustment (FITCA) effective December 19, 2021. The FITCA results from cost increases associated with inland transportation in Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica, which represents a 17% Foreign Inland Trucking Cost Adjustment applicable to the inland portion of a door rate effective December 19, 2021. The charge is applicable to all tariff and service contracts for all import and export cargo.
Please refer to the Foreign Inland Cost Adjustment document, which reflects the FITCA charge applicable for each city affected by this increase:
*Note: All service contracts will be amended to reflect the FITCA charge and distributed on or before December 19, 2021.
As always, we thank you for your continued support.
Please note that all changes that do require a legal 30-day notice are correctly filed and announced in the respective Public Tariff. This advisory shows some of these changes as a courtesy to our valued customers. This published notice in no way replaces the application of the Public Tariff.
