Seaboard Marine wishes to advise our valued customers the Government of Honduras by way of La Gaceta number 32,693 decreed mandatory minimum trucking rates which will represent significant increases over existing costs. As a result of the passing of this law, effective October 16, 2022, a Honduran Government Decree Trucking Charge will be assessed on all cargo moving within 90 kilometers via Port Of Puerto Cortes on both northbound and southbound to/from Puerto Cortes. For additional information please reference Comunicado 12-2022, Gaceta No.36,017 published in decree no.81-2022 article 99.
The charge will apply to/from door moves as well as port moves plus inland. Please note this charge does not apply when the origin or final destination is Port of Puerto Cortes or when the origin and/or destination are within Nicaragua.
This charge is applicable to all tariff and contract rates.
