APM Terminals has announced that they will begin random X-ray scanning of import and export shipments at the terminal in Moin. APM will charge a fee for each container that is processed and, therefore, Seaboard Marine will implement a Costa Rica X-Ray charge for any container that is required to be scanned. The charge will be $35.00 per container plus the Government imposed VAT to recover for this service. This Costa Rica X-Ray charge will become effective on September 27, 2019, and will only be applied when a container is X-rayed.
