This notice updates prior notices on continuing external factors affecting transportation in cargo throughout Latin America and the Caribbean Basin, including operations at major ports and connecting roadways. Ongoing significant port congestion, including transshipment ports, severe weather, and other events impacting inland movement of cargo, continue to adversely impact vessel schedules and transportation logistics.
Seaboard Marine continues to explore alternative solutions to minimize the impact of these disruptions. Despite these efforts, port and roadway conditions in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean Basin are likely to continue to adversely impact vessel schedules and cargo generally moving to and from these regions.
We encourage customers with perishable cargo in transit destined for the United States via impacted ports to closely monitor the progress of their shipments and consider notifying their cargo insurers of these conditions as a precautionary measure.
Seaboard Marine is closely monitoring the situation and remains committed to providing timely updates as developments occur. While we are actively working to address these challenges, we recognize that certain delays may still arise, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
If you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact your Seaboard Marine customer service representative.
Thank you for your continued trust and partnership.
As always, we thank you for your continued support.
