Seaboard Marine facilities, both in the United States and overseas, are currently open and functioning. Our vessel, terminal, trucking, and rail services are operating normally to ensure the integrity of your supply chain. Even as many Latin American and Caribbean countries announce curfews, restrictions on border closings, or quarantines to combat the spread of COVID-19, in each case thus far, we have made the necessary adjustments to ensure the transport of cargo and supplies with manageable delays.

Alternative Payment Forms
Due to the widespread effects of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, many businesses are implementing preventative measures that are slightly disrupting standard payment processes. To avoid any complications due to processing delays, we encourage you, whenever possible, to submit payments to Seaboard Marine through wire or ACH.

Beware of Deceitful and Malicious Activity
Unfortunately, COVID-19 crisis has led to increasing cybersecurity threats against all companies. There is particularly potential for an uptick in fraudulent banking activity. This includes false instructions to direct payments to new bank accounts. Seaboard Marine has not changed any of its bank accounts and would never advise you of such a change solely by email. If you are unsure regarding any form of contact, do not take action without first calling a Seaboard Marine representative.

If you have any questions regarding either wire or ACH payment processing, please contact us at payments@seaboardmarine.com or you can call our Credit and Collections Department in Miami at 305-863-4339.

Trade is Essential
National leaders and municipal officials widely recognize the importance of international trade and supply chains. Seaboard Marine and the movement of cargo are deemed essential. Further, government and customs officials, in every port throughout the Seaboard network, are available for clearance of cargo.

Seaboard Marine’s U.S. facilities at PortMiami, the Port of Houston (Jacintoport Terminal), Brooklyn (Red Hook Container Terminal), Port of New Orleans, Philadelphia (Penn Terminals), and the Port of Savannah are all open.

We continue to follow the guidance from international, federal, and local officials, including the WHO, CDC, the U.S. Coast Guard, and Customs and Border Protection. Most of our domestic and overseas office-based employees are now either working from home or at alternate locations. However, in every country, our employees are promptly answering calls and responding to your inquiries.

The health and safety of our employees and the expedited movement of your valued cargo is our top priority. Extensive prevention measures are in place for ports and vessels both in the U.S. and throughout the international reach of our organization, including limitations on physical contact between vessel crews and our shore-based terminal teams. Preventative procedures are in place throughout all of Seaboard Marine’s network.

We appreciate and value your support.
