Seaboard Marine wishes to advise our valued customers that we are actively monitoring Hurricane Fiona as it moves in a northernly direction over the southwest Atlantic Ocean.

The Dominican Republic continues to experience heavy rain over mostly coastal and eastern sections of the island; however, our offices in the Dominican Republic reopened this morning. The ports also reopened this morning with modest congestion due to the closure. Cargo verification, full container reception, and dispatch have resumed. Vessel operations are expected to resume this afternoon.

The M/V AS Samanta Voyage 99 and the M/V Erato Voyage 69 are delayed due to port congestion at the Port of Rio Haina. The M/V Erato Voyage 69 is expected to complete vessel operations by 8:00 PM EDT. The M/V Samanta Voyage 99 is expected to complete vessel operations Wednesday, September 21 by 6:00 PM EDT.

As Fiona’s path continues to develop, we will continue to monitor and provide updates as developments occur.

The safety of our staff, crews, vessels, and our customer’s cargo is of the utmost importance.

We appreciate the patience and support of our customers during the 2022 Hurricane Season.
