Seaboard Marine wishes to advise our valued customers we are actively monitoring Tropical Storm Elsa as it makes its way across the Caribbean.
PortMiami is open today and will remain under U.S. Coast Guard readiness condition “X-RAY.” The port does not anticipate being placed under U.S. Coast Guard readiness condition “YANKEE” as path of the tropical storm pushes west. The port and our staff accelerated preparations to protect our facilities, equipment, and cargo. We continue to encourage our import perishable customers to promptly pick up their containers.
Our office in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic will open tomorrow as well as the port and terminal in Rio Haina.
The M/V Seaboard Ranger Voyage 418 previously scheduled to call Rio Haina, was diverted to Puerto Plata which remains open at this time. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
Our office in Port Au Prince, Haiti as well as the port and terminal in Lafito reopened today.
Our offices in Jamaica (Kingston and Montego Bay) as well as the port and terminal in Kingston, Jamaica are closed until further notice.
As Elsa’s path continues to develop, we will continue to monitor and provide updates as developments occur.
The safety of our staff, crews, vessels, and our customer’s cargo is of the utmost importance.
We appreciate the patience and support of our customers during the 2021 Hurricane Season.
