Seaboard Marine is proud to announce the name of the newest V-class vessel, the Seaboard Verde. This latest introduction to Seaboard Marine’s modern fleet, marks another milestone in the company’s commitment to sustainability in ocean transportation. With a cargo capacity of 3,500 TEUs and over 1,000 onboard refrigerated container plugs, the dual-fuel Seaboard Verde prioritizes the transportation of perishable cargo with efficiency and reliability. Primarily powered by LNG, a cleaner alternative fuel, this vessel exemplifies Seaboard Marine’s dedication to reducing emissions and minimizing environmental impact.

Set for delivery in February 2025, the Seaboard Verde will serve strategic routes that connect major ports such as Moin, Costa Rica; Colon, Panama; Kingston, Jamaica; Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Philadelphia; and Brooklyn. As the third vessel in Seaboard Marine’s distinguished V-Class fleet, the Seaboard Verde will play a vital role in fostering commerce and economic growth throughout the Americas. 

The Seaboard Verde joins Seaboard Marine’s fleet alongside sister vessels, the Seaboard Victory and the Seaboard Voyager, each delivered in late 2024, and the world’s first LNG-fueled container vessel converted from traditional marine fuel, the Seaboard Blue. These vessels are at the leading edge of Seaboard Marine’s fleet evolution, reflecting the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. By the end of 2025, Seaboard Marine will have nine cutting-edge LNG-powered vessels sailing throughout the Western Hemisphere.
