Seaboard Marine recently hosted Trade-USA’s Trade Mission Dominican Republic at PortMiami’s Terminal J. Delegates from the Dominican Republic discussed and exchanged ideas on opportunities, trends, and challenges to increase bilateral trade between the Dominican Republic and the United States. The event included one-on-one business matchmaking to assist participating Dominican Republic companies with opportunities to expand their commercial strategies and find business partners for their supply chain. Seaboard Marine’s Vice President of Terminal Operations Richard Rodriguez, joined by Senior Account Executive Ramon Garcia and PortMiami’s Director’s Chief of Staff Richard de Villers educated attendees concerning Seaboard Marine’s competitive advantages at PortMiami that include nearly one mile of dedicated berthing, flexible crane positioning, on-dock intermodal rail, and unmatched trucker turnaround time.
Richard Rodriguez said, “It is important that we use these opportunities to emphasize our competitive strengths at PortMiami. We highlighted how we are adaptive and responsive to change while delivering exceptional customer service. The chance to reinforce these tenets of Seaboard and having PortMiami’s support enhances our standing as a trade leader in the Dominican Republic.”
