Seaboard Marine recently donated to support The Motivational Edge, a youth development organization that leverages culturally relevant arts and other platforms to engage, educate and empower young lives. Through the Seaboard Cares initiative and with support from the Seaboard Foundation, funds were contributed to support their campus in South Florida where the organization engages, educates, and empowers thousands of under-resourced youths with remarkable success
Chris Concepcion, Seaboard Marine Senior Marketing Manager said, “It is a pleasure for us to be able to donate this gift to The Motivation Edge as part of our ongoing efforts to uphold our commitment to give back to and assist the communities in which we live and work. This organization and its efforts to improve lives are ideally aligned with our philanthropic goals.”
Established in 2008, The Edge is a local success story and is making a difference in the Miami-Dade community. The Motivational Edge has a proven track record and continues to grow beyond the founder’s expectations. With the support of donors, such as Seaboard Marine and the Seaboard Foundation, the Motivational Edge launched the Allapattah Campus in South Florida in September 2018 as a permanent home to engage, educate and empower under-resourced youth.
The Motivation Edge’s Jessenia Francisco, Chief Relationship Officer, said, “Foster youth in Miami-Dade County were particularly hit hard in this pandemic without family or a place to call home. With the help of organizations like Seaboard, we’re able to commit to providing essential services that are a source of comfort and stability for our most affected youth.”
