Seaboard Marine is pleased to announce a new direct service connecting Central America with Wilmington, North Carolina. The new weekly service, supported by two (2) container vessels, connects key inland points in Central America, including San Salvador, El Salvador, and Managua, Nicaragua. The service will commence on Sunday, November 26, 2023, departing Santo Tomas de Castilla, Guatemala, before calling Puerto Cortes, Honduras, on Monday, November 27, 2023. The first southbound sailing will depart from the Port of Wilmington, North Carolina, on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

Jose Concepcion, Seaboard Marine Regional Vice President of Central America, said, “The launch of this direct ocean transportation service presents new trade opportunities, offering cost savings, faster deliveries, and improved supply chain efficiency. It benefits importers and exporters by introducing fast transportation solutions to facilitate trade between Latin America and the United States.”
